I lost my collection of 10,000 plastic and metal minis for table top gaming in a fire, but I will not replace them!!! I think they are cool dont get me wrong. But I had problems managing my mini collection:

•  took up a ton of space, 
•  took a long time to paint, 
•  I couldn't take them all everywhere I went without huge suitcases, 
• couldn't find the ones I wanted when I needed them, 
• had to worry about people stealing them. 
• cost a fortune

When I got into Drawing and animating my own DnD comics and series I thought I would be just as easy to draw my characters then reduce them to fit on a mini, then fold it to stand up AND have the characters name on the back, something as a GM I was always forgetting. The folded design I decided on is weighted on the bottem with the extra paper tabs they stand up just fine, and you can unfold them and store them in a photo album when you are done, so you can sort them by groups of players, NPCs so you can quickly flip though and find the ones you need.   

 I used it for an after school program where i volunteered to teach and run RPG games to kids were I was worried the little bastards would pocket my good minis! It worked great and I found out many of these little kids drew better than I did! I had them draw their characters on a form and I shrunk them to fit and printed their minis too , they loved it.
